JJ Thomas has been a good friend of mine for years now. Recently he approached me and requested a personal website for a future career of professional coaching. After nearly two decades of professional snowboarding competition and filming, JJ decided to retire and coach former Olympians, Louie Vito and Gretchen Blieler.
A couple of years ago, while coaching in New Zealand, JJ crossed paths with long time friend and fellow competitor, Shaun White. Since then, he’s been Shaun’s personal halfpipe coach and will be there in South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics. JJ has played a very big part in Shaun White’s rise to the top after a disappointing result at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
Pleased with the results and experience of professional coaching, JJ has begun the process of establishing himself as one of the most respected and talented coaches out there. Doesn’t matter if you’re a current pro or just some average joe looking to take his or her snowboarding abilities to the next level. Be it park, pipe, or back country.
